Sudip Roy Barman alleges BJP get success in ‘Blooming Lotus in Pineapple’
In his scathing attack to regional Tipra-Motha for their alleged blackmailing politics with indigenous of Tripura, senior Congress leader and MLA Sudip Roy Barman said that Motha leaders ditched indigenous people for their personal interest and now, BJP successfully managed to blooming Lotus into Pineapple.
Addressing a press conference at Congress Bhavan on Thursday afternoon, permanent invitee member of Congress Working Committee (CWC) Roy Barman said that phrase chanting of BJP workers “Modi he toh mumkin hein” has proved that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration has been successful in blooming lotus in the pineapple, the logo of Tipra-Motha.
Strongly criticizing Tipra-Motha’s supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma and his betrayal politics, Sudip claimed that clever Pradyot played with innocent sentiments of tribal people and asked where is popular slogans like “one last fight”, “Greater Tipraland”, constitutional solutions, “Poila Jati, Ola party” etc.
Roy Barman, highlighting the Congress’s historical commitment to the development of Tiprasas (indigenous) people has accused Pradyot Kishore of exploiting the emotions of the Tiprasa people during the Lok Sabha elections for personal political gain.
He also criticized the emergence of the Tipra Motha in Madhabbari, which initially opposed the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), pointing out that Debbarma forgot his opposition stand against CAA and now supports BJP’s policies only for his personal gain.
He also asked why Pradyot fielded his elder sister for the fray of Lok Sabha elections with Lotus symbol despite lots of good people in Tipra-Motha to contest elections. In the name of historic , tripartite agreement , Pradyot once again fooled the indigenous people.
He said Tiprasa people of the state now understand the gimmick of Pradyot Kishore and people would respond decisively in the coming Lok Sabha elections. Sudip added that Tipra-Motha and its supremo do not want real development for indigenous people and are only doing blackmailing politics.
Mentioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ‘s five big promises to farmers under its 'Kisan Nyay’ guarantee, Sudip said Congress' five big poll promises to the farmers include guarantee of legal status to MSP under the Swaminathan Commission's recommendations. Guarantee to create a permanent 'Agriculture Loan Waiver Commission' to waive off the loans of farmers and determine the amount of loan waiver. Guarantee to ensure payment directly into the bank account of farmers within 30 days in case of crop loss by changing the insurance plan and guarantee to make new import-export policy keeping the interest of farmers ahead and guarantee to make farmers GST-free by removing GST from agricultural commodities.
