TBSE’s ‘Bachar Bachao’ examinations start, first day passed off peacefully
The ‘Bachar Bachao’ examinations of Tripura Board of Secondary Examination (TBSE) started on Wednesday across 27 examination centres across the state and the first day examination passed off peacefully.
Giving details of the examinations TBSE secretary Dr Dulal Dey said that altogether 3794 candidates of Madhyamik appeared in the first day examination of ‘Bachar Bachao’ (Save year) and 4185 candidates more for Higher Secondary examinations in 27 centres across Tripura.
Apart from these, 23 more candidates of Madhyamik have also appeared for Mathematics standard examinations, said Dr Dey.
Dr Dey added that the ‘Bachar Bachao’ examinations are being held for those students, who were unable to pass in single or two subjects, but have to score a total of 150 marks. He said that two examination centres in Agartala have been set up including at Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan and Kamini Kumar marmoreal HS school (Dhaleshwar) and the examinations will continue up to August 11 next.
