Thieve arrested with stolen gold ornaments
Agartala city police on Sunday arrested a member of thieves’ gang and recovered some stolen gold ornaments under his possession.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of East Agartala police station Rana Chatterjee said a gang of thieves has committed a robbery at the house of one Biplab Bhowmik at Dhaleshwar road number-3 on November 12 last.
Later, based on the complaint, police arrested two thieves involved in the incident and based on their interrogation statements, police on Sunday arrested another gang member, identified as Bikram Das (25) of Shantipara area of Aralia. Police recovered some stolen gold ornaments under possession and claimed that soon they will be able to arrest more thieves involved with the robbery committed at Biplab BHowmik’s house.
