Three days Moot Court training workshop held at NLU, Tripura

The Moot Court Society of National Law University Tripura organized a three-days (13-15 December 2023) Moot Court training workshop for the first batch of newly admitted B.A.LL.B. students.

A renowned mooter, Chevening Scholar, and currently practicing lawyer Mr. Rishabh Dheer who completed his LL.M. from Cambridge University conducted this workshop and provided lessons in legal research, drafting and oral advocacy.

The workshop featured a blend of theoretical and practical sessions where he discussed various ways to deal with moot problems, research and preparation of memorandum, tailoring the arguments, and applying law in specific scenarios.

It is pertinent to mention that the National Law Universities have a prolific Moot Court culture and have a long-standing tradition of excellence in mooting. Through this workshop National Law University Tripura has exhibited its commitment to that culture which is seeking to equip aspiring lawyers with requisite skills and knowledge to excel in the world of mooting. The workshop was envisioned by Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor. Dr. Nachiketa Mittal, Registrar and Dr. Debasree Debnath, Assistant Professor of Law and Faculty Advisor for Moot Court Society were instrumental in successful completion of this workshop.
