Three unlisted NLFT(BM) extremists surrendered before BSF

Three more unlisted cadres of NLFT(BM) faction on Monday have also surrendered before the authorities of BSF at Manoranjan border outpost (BOP) at Chawmanu under Dhalai district.

BSF sources said that on Monday three unlisted cadre of NLFT (BM) faction, identified as Mani Ranjan Tripura (28) alias Gondala of Manikpur under Dhalai district, Chintajay Tripura (38) of Thalchera under-Chawmanu police station and Raban Joy Tripura (28) Thalchera under Dhalai district decided to leave the path of violence and surrendered to live a normal life and to involve in the main stream of the nation.

The surrendered insurgent Mani Ranjan Tripura joined NLFT (BM) outfit in the month of March 2023, Chintajay Tripura joined NLBT (BM) outfit in the month of April 2023 and Raban Joy Tripura joined NLFT(BM) outfit in the month of December,2023.   

Tripura state has been insurgency prone for the last few decades. BSF sources added that due to the endeavour of central agencies and state authorities, in the recent past, several cadres of NLFT (BM) opted to return back to the mainstream of the society. Such examples will certainly motivate the misguided youths to leave the path of violence.
