Regional Tipra-Motha will organize a large rally on November 12 next at Vivekananda stadium in Agartala in support of their demand for ‘Greater Tipraland’ constitutionally.
Addressing a press conference here at Rajbari, Tipra-Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma said that altogether 2000 supporters of Motha will also march to New Delhi and will participate in a mass demonstration in front of ‘Jantan Mantar’ on December 1st in support of their ‘greater Tipraland’ demand.
He said that the November 12 rally in Agartala will be a great rally and Motha supporters from different parts of the state will participate in the peaceful rally in support of their demand.
While launching scathing attacks on the state government over the resettlement and rehabilitation process of all Bru migrants, Pradyot said that people never opposed the resettlement process of Bru migrants.
Refusing the statement made by the state government , Pradyot said that people are ready for resettlement in certain areas, but the government is providing lands in rubber plantations, which involve the livelihood of many people.
He alleged that the government wants to create a division among indigenous people and try to resettle Bru families in rubber plantations. He said that spots are being identified and Bru families are also ready to resettle in other areas, but government agencies are forcing them to resettle in rubber gardens, which has created protest among the local people.
Pradyot also said that he will file a case retrenched 10, 323 teachers in the Supreme Court for reinstatement of jobs on own expenses and renowned SC lawyer Kapil Sibal will fight for them. He said that after the November 12th rally, he will leave the state towards New Delhi for the case purpose.
He said that if the reinstatement of jobs is restored by the apex court, then the schools in villages will get teachers , which will directly benefit the spreading of education in rural areas of Tripura.
He also reiterated that Motha will not form any alliance with any other party till they are not assured or give written documents for ‘greater Tipraland’ and Motha will contest the next elections on its own capacity.
