TMC’s mega rally in Agartala, leaders assured to implement Bengal model in Tripura if they voted to power
As scheduled, Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Monday organized mass rally from Ganghighat to Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala in presence of senior leaders of the party from West Bengal and the rally, leaders also addressed a large gathering in the city protesting ‘misgovernance’ of Tripura.
The rally of TMC worker in presence of hundreds of party supporters from different parts of the state started on Monday morning from Gandhighat and ends in front of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, where the leaders like Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev , state in-charge Rajib Banerjee , All India TMC Mahila wing president and MP Smt Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and MP Smt Mahua Moitra addressed the gathering.
While addressing the gathering senior TMC leader and MP Mahua Moitra through interactive speech said that if her party voted to power in Tripura, all the welfare schemes existing in West Bengal will be introduced in Tripura.
She said that ruling BJP believes in welfare of their party and TMC believes in welfare of the public and that is the difference, people of Bengal ensure their huge victory in the last assembly elections.
She said that BJP often promises freebies and after polls they forget their commitments, but TMC do politics where the public welfare is the top priority.
Citing the instances of governance of West Bengal, Moitra said that there is no disparity in Bengal and claimed that there are not a single family who are facing starvation and public distribution services are so strong that no one has to worry about their two meals.
Speaking in the gathering Rajib Banerjee said that there movements to oust the BJP government is getting momentum in every passing days and more and more people joining the party to strengthen their movements against the oppression politics of BJP.
MP Sushmita Dev said that only TMC can defeat the communal BJP and will bring the governance for people not for the party.
Trinamool Women wing national president Kakali Ghosh Dastidar said that despite their continuous attacks, BJP can never prevent the TMC and its courageous workers and TMC will continue to strive for the interest of the state's people . Ghosh Dastidar also said that TMC with all its strength continued its movements to oust ‘undemocratic force’ from Tripura. She also said that the contribution of Mamata Benrjee and her governance in the lives of people helped TMC to retain power for the third time in Bengal and people from cross sections of society are getting benefits of all welfare schemes of the government.
