Heavy rains as well as lightning caused disruption of power services too and most of the shops in Agartala city were shut off. A huge 'krishnachura tree' fell down in Jagannath Bari Park in Agartala city. However, no casualty was reported.

IMD also added that thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain are very likely to occur at isolated places over the rest districts of Tripura.
The Monsoon rains since morning have further cooled the air in the state capital with maximum temperatures rising to 30.9 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature was recorded at 25.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Though the humidity level at maximum 92 % and minimum at 71 % was recorded at the state capital.
