Two killed, four injured in 3 road mishaps
In three separate tragic road mishaps, two persons including a youth died and four more persons suffered critical injuries in separate parts of Tripura on Saturday.
Sources said that in a tragic road mishap, two brothers suffered critical injuries, when their motorbike collided face on with another bike at Lichubagan area under NCC police station of Agartala on Saturday.
Both injured brothers Sagnik Datta (19) of Narsingarh area and Biswajit Ghosh (25) of Natunnagar area were admitted to GB Hospital, but during treatment Biswajit succumbed due to his critical injuries. The condition of another injured Sagnik is stated to be very critical.
In another road mishap, one man identified as Parimal Sarkar (55) died on the spot, when an auto-rickshaw turned around in heavy speed at Santirbazar-Belonia route, near SDF office.
Immediately, police and firefighters rushed to the spot and shifted him to a local hospital, where visiting doctor declared him brought dead.,
Sources added that one professor of NIT, Agartala , Mitra Barun Sarkar along with his wife and son were coming to Agartala from Udaipur with his private car. When his private car reached Charakban area of Sepahijala district, the speeding car dashed a roadside tree by losing its control.
As a result, all three persons boarded in the car suffered critical injuries and after rescuing them, police shifted them to Bishalgarh hospital. After primary treatment, all three injured persons were referred to Tripura Medical College (TMC) at Hapania.
