Vishwakarma Yojana highlights PM's thinking in Garib Kalyan: CM

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha said on Saturday that the real development work for the poor and the middle class people began after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India in 2014.

Dr Saha said this while addressing the inaugural session of a workshop organized by the Pradesh BJP for the successful implementation of the Vishwakarma Yojana announced by PM Modi.

He mentioned that the scheme has been launched to bring about a change in the lives of people in 18 categories, including artisans.

“The Vishwakarma Yojana highlights the PM's focus on Garib Kalyan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched many schemes for the welfare of the people, not only introducing them but also working to provide 100% benefits of these schemes to the people. The real development work for the poor started in 2014 when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister. He has been working exclusively for the development of the people, which no single government did in the past,” said Dr. Saha.

He further explained that with a focus on artisans and skilled workers, PM Modi has allocated Rs 13,000 crore under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

“The main aim is to further develop their skills. PM Vishwakarma Yojana schemes will provide basic training with a stipend of Rs. 500 per day and will also offer loans. This will help workers and artisans become self-reliant. PM Modi is taking this very seriously. He also inaugurated the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, and 16 IEC vans have already reached various locations in the state to create awareness about the flagship schemes, as many people are not aware of them,” said Dr Saha. He added that only PM Modi can guarantee everything.

“We have to work towards achieving 100% implementation of flagship schemes for the poor and the middle class. PM Modi always thinks about the people,” said Dr Saha.

He also said Dharmveer Prajapati, Minister of State for Jail, Home Guard, Uttar Pradesh has told him to see the possibilities whether the state government can provide skill training to convicts after their release from correctional homes under the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana so that they don’t face any problems in earning their livelihood.

“Our government will look after this. If we can provide them with training it will be helpful for them”, he added.

During the program, Dharmveer Prajapati, Minister of State for Jail, Home Guard, Uttar Pradesh, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya, BJP General Secretary Amit Rakshit, and others were present.
