Intense gun battle between security forces and militants in south Kashmir
Srinagar: The security forces are engaged in an intense gun battle with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said.

The encounter erupted at Chakoora area of Shopian.
“Police and security forces are on the job,” a police spokesman said, adding further details are emerging.
