Border Guards detained five more Bangladeshi for illegal entry
Based on specific information, BSF troops posted at Kamalasagar border outpost (BOP) under Sepahijala district apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals while they were trying to enter into Indian territory by negotiating the IBB Fence.
Three apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are resident of Gopalganj district of Bangladesh, whereas one listed Bangladeshi tout facilitating illegal crossing of 3 Bangladeshi nationals is resident of Kasba, Bangladesh.
In another operation BSF troops of BOP Samrupara under Unakoti district of Tripura apprehended one more Bangladeshi national while he was trying to infiltrate into Indian territory. Apprehended Bangladeshi national is a resident of Netrakona district of Bangladesh.
In addition to above alert troops of BSF Tripura in different operations foiled various attempts of trans-border smuggling along the Indo Bangladesh border, rescued 12 cattle and seized 900Kgs Sugar and other contraband worth Rs 3 lakh.
BSF has enhanced the surveillance along the border to prevent trans border crime and infiltration.
