Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan appears before ED in illegal betting app case
New Delhi/IBNS: Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan on Thursday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the probe into the illegal betting app case, media reports said.

Dhawan reached the ED office in Delhi at 11 am.
The probe agency recorded Dhawan's statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with the probe into the app called 1xBet, Deccan Herald reported.
The ED is probing into multiple cases linked to illegal betting apps that have allegedly duped several people.
Days ago, the Indian parliament passed a law banning real money-based online games.
The ED has already filed a case against 29 celebrities including top actors Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati and Prakash Raj.
Others include actors Manchu Lakshmi, Nidhi Agarwal, influencers Sreemukhi, Shyamala, Shoba Shetty.
