Kashmir: Militant killed in Baramulla gun battle
Srinagar/UNI: The Security forces shot dead a militant of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday, police said.

The gunfight broke out at Karhama Kunzer area Baramulla during a cordon and a search operation which was launched by joint forces following an input about militant presence.
“During the search operation, as the joint search party approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorist fired upon the joint search party triggering an encounter.
"In the ensuing encounter, a terrorist linked with proscribed terrorist outfit LeT was killed,” a police officer said, adding the search operation in the area is still underway.
A police spokesman identified the slain as Abid Wani of Yarhol Babapora Kulgam.
He said an AK 47 rifle was also recovered from the encounter site.
This is the fourth gunfight in J&K since Wednesday which left five militants dead.
