Kashmir: NIA raids 13 places in terror conspiracy case
Srinagar/UNI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted raids at 13 places in Kashmir in a terror conspiracy case, officials said.
These raids are going on in 13 locations in Budgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar, and Anantnag districts in the valley.
Officials said the raids are part of the ongoing investigation in a terror conspiracy case registered in 2022 in Jammu.
“Searches are underway in the RC-5/2022/NIA/JMU case,” they said.
The case relates to the hatching of a conspiracy, both physical and cyber space, and plans by the proscribed terrorist organisations to unleash violent terrorist attacks in J&K with sticky bombs, IEDs and small arms.
The plans are part of a larger conspiracy by these terrorist outfits to commit acts of terror and violence, in association with local youth/overground workers, to disturb peace and communal disharmony in J&K.
Last week, the NIA carried out extensive searches in Jammu & Kashmir, in the premises of cadres and hybrid terrorists and Overground Workers linked with the newly-formed offshoots and affiliates of several major banned Pak-backed terror outfits in the same case.
