Pune residents worship tree gushing out 'divine' water, officials find it was just a broken pipe
A video recently went viral on social media where people were seen frantically worshipping a tree, believing it was emitting holy water.

The incident occurred in Pune's Pimpri's Premlok Park area.

The Gulmohar tree became a focus of devotion in the city, with a large number of people gathering close to the spot to offer garlands, turmeric, vermilion, and flowers to the tree trunk.
Some videos showed people, believing the water had divine qualities, taking a sip of the water.
Ending the act of superstition, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) officials reportedly visited the spot and discovered that the water was coming out from a leaked pipe.
Banke Bihari
In 2024, a similar incident happened in Banke Bihari Mandir in Mathura where devotees could be seen drinking water discharged from an air conditioning unit while thinking it to be 'Charan Amrit' (the sacred water from the feet of Hindu deity Lord Krishna).
